House LA – Marseille (13)

Projects

The project involves the renovation and transformation of a residence in the Endoume district of Marseille.

Set within a village-like landscape, the house engages in a subtle dialogue with its garden, where Mediterranean light reveals the balance between architecture and vegetation. This relationship with the site embodies a way of living unique to the villages of Marseille. The building, reimagined in its architectural expression, embraces the enduring nature of its vernacular style. The mineral plaster, shutters, and moldings contribute to the restoration of a cohesive whole, highlighting the simplicity of its facades. The delicate approach to preserving its heritage, far from freezing its identity in time, reveals the timelessness of this residence through the deliberate perpetuation of its domestic character. A Marseille home that has finally rediscovered its natural place within the Mediterranean landscape.
